Dubai Police launch new lost item delivery service
DUBAI – Dubai Police have launched a new lost item delivery service, making it easier for residents and visitors to recover misplaced belongings without returning to the emirate.
The initiative allows owners of recovered items to choose a preferred delivery time and location through an online platform after being notified by Dubai Police.
Over the past five years, Dubai Police have returned 6,040 lost items, including luxury watches, jewellery worth millions of dirhams, cash and personal keepsakes. Among the recovered valuables were a necklace valued at more than Dh2 million and a Rolex watch worth around Dh150,000.
The Lost and Found Department, established in 2015, operates a unified platform that connects around 1,600 strategic partners, including hotels, shopping malls, airports and government entities, helping reunite owners with their belongings quickly and securely.
Dubai Police said every recovered item is treated with the same care, regardless of its monetary value, recognising that sentimental belongings can often be more precious than expensive valuables.
